Week one has passed and we feel like we are all adapting well. Luke had to have the "
bililamp" on him for his jaundice, but he is close to being done with that glowing contraption (see picture with
Steph), which we are looking forward to. He seems to be on a solid schedule in terms of eating and sleeping which has helped Mom and Dad get more sleep than we anticipated we might. Both of us are convinced that Ruby believes Luke is hers. She is so attentive to every sound and constantly watches out for what he's doing. She always checks on him upon coming in the house and sometimes sleeps next to him. She actually jumped into his
bassinet to "protect" him from Grandma Kathy before getting the OK from both of us for her presence around Luke. The affection is great, but since then we've made sure that she stays out of the
bassinet! We have both enjoyed Luke so much. Everyone says that they are much more fun once they can move around and talk with you, but we have both enjoyed the little things as he squeaks and pushes and moves his arms and legs. It is very cool just to sit and hold him, watching everything he does. We are looking forward to talking with him in the future, but are also quite content with where we're at right now.

He's so cute! Thanks for letting me come over and hold him today! I think he was comfy resting on my tummy, it must have felt familiar:-)
Yay - thanks for an update.. my cold is almost gone - hopefully we can come see him soon!
Oh, Luke is so adorable! And, you look great, too, Steph. I'm so glad I get to keep up with you guys on your blog.
Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy it Stephanie... This is a guiltless holiday this time around. Go ahead. Have seconds for dessert! :)
Aw, so tiny. You lucky dog! I hope I'll get to see him soon- get some rest. Wait, I hated when people told me that... Like it's a choice. Go for a long drive - he'll sleep and you can hit the drive thrus! That's my advice....
Wow! Congratulations on your son! I found your blog from Jenn's... I know she is so excited to have 2 new nephews! You and Coe both look so at ease... like parenthood is coming quite naturally! :) Glad to hear everything is going so well! Hope we will get to meet him someday if we visit Idaho again! God Bless!
Hi Stephanie Im not sure if you remember me :)I used to work at the front desk at the reccenter and found your blog through Megan!
Congrats on the new baby he is beautiful! When our little one was born he had to use the "light" too. We always laughed and called him our little christmas light :) I hope all is well with your family!!
